About Me
Vintage wallpaper, millinery flowers, antique jewelry, tissue paper, crystals, and scrapbook papers....all of these items are my favorite ingredients for making art. Hi, my name is Amy, and I have been a professional artist since 1990. I started out in those days making antique-embellished muslin dolls...lots of them...for about 15 years. My dolls were sold through craft shows, craft magazines, coops, mail order, and even my own small store. I even had a pattern business for awhile where my designs were distributed worldwide. Designing and creating dolls was, and actually is, one of my favorite things to do.
I enjoy all forms of creativity and, at one time, even had a creativity studio where I taught art and creativity classes. My studio is a very busy place, and I am always experimenting and learning new things. Making things is a true passion of mine.
A few years ago, I discovered mixed media collage art and paper art. I totally fell in love with this art form and enjoy the freedom it gives me. When I sit down to make a collage on a blank canvas board, I never know what the finished product will be. That is the total fun for me. That process is what I truly love.
You will quickly see that my signature style of adding vintage elements to my artwork is still very strong, although in a different medium now. Whereas I used to incorporate antique jewelry and vintage items to my dolls, now you will see those same elements in my collages. Love that old, time-worn, vintage look. So romantic. So beautiful.
When I am not creating art, my second favorite thing to do is interior decorating. I completed an interior decorating course from the NYC-based Sheffield School of Design and often can be found decorating my own home or volunteering my decorating skills at a local realty firm.

Thank you so much for visiting me today. I meet the most wonderful people from all over and am thankful for each and every one of you. Please check back often, as I am always adding new items. See you soon! Amy :)
